Here’s another video I uploaded last night right before I went to bed. It’s of our first dance together as man & wife. The song is “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” by Bryan Adams.
I’ll be uploading more videos tonight. I created a video clips page where you’ll find links to all the video from the wedding as well as other fun videos of our friends & family (eventually…).
We didn’t get a lot of video of the wedding (nothing from the ceremony, and only the special dances and the bouquet/garter toss from the reception), so if you took any video at all please e-mail us and let us know — we’d love a copy!
I’m finally getting around to editing and uploading some video clips from our wedding. Here’s the first:
Also, if you hadn’t noticed it already in the sidebar, we finally got all our photos back from our (wonderful!) photographer. You can view them all here.
Nick and I have a new addition to our little family…
Meet Gidget!
Gidget showed up on the doorstep of our friends, Erica and Alan, on Halloween night. They actually live on the 3rd story of an apartment building that neighbors ours and this cat had come up their back fire-escape stairs. being an animal-lover, Erica took her in. However, they already have two cats so they couldn’t keep her.
I’ve been wanting a cat for a while, but Nick was hesitant. He had good reason: I’m usually somewhat allergic to cats. Somehow, though, the only hypoallergenic cat in the world showed up that night! For some reason, though most cats make me sneeze and make my eyes water, Gidget doesn’t bother me one bit. Her owners haven’t turned up, so Nick and I have decided too keep her.
Gracie and Gidget get along fairly well. Gidget was very afraid of her at first. Grace just wanted to play, but can be a bit overzealous at times. Now that Gidgy is used to her though, she loves to tease and harass Grace. It’s actually kind of hilarious.
So Nick and I have a pretty full household now: a dog, a cat, two ferrets, three fish, and a hermit crab. I think we’re going to need a bigger place!
Nick’s mom was able to fly down here to Nashville for a couple days to spend his birthday with us.
We celebrated his birthday by going out to Prime 108, a restaurant located in historic Union Station in downtown Nashville. Our friend Alan is a chef there, and he saw to it that our evening was absolutely amazing.
We had sushi and rock shrimp tempura appetizers. Then we had beautiful caesar salads. Nick had duck for his entree, and Nick’s mother and I had fish. Then they brought out a surprise dessert: a platter with chocolate mousse cake, creme brulée, and spiced pear cheesecake. WOW.
After dinner we came back to our apartment. We sang “Happy Birthday” (Nick’s dad even joined in via speaker-phone) and we had cake. Nick had requested a Jeep cake in colors to match his CJ-7. It turned out pretty well.
Nick also got lots of nice cards. He got lots of giftcards to go shopping too, which was perfect! (He says thank you again by the way!)
