I’d forgotten about this video till I was going through some clips on my computer.  I had to hide the video for quite some time so Nick didn’t accidentally stumble upon it or anything.  This video was recorded right after I tried on THE dress and saw myself in the mirror for the first time.  The voices you hear are my mom (who is recording the video), the sales clerk, and my maid of honor, Melanie.

Not a lot going on these days, but I thought I’d give ya’ll an update anyway.

Nick has been busy working, as always.  He’s been lucky lately and has had a lot fewer late-nights, which is very nice.  He’s also recently gotten really interested in playing pool — he’s been looking up all sorts of tips and tricks on the Internet.  He and his buddies from work go out on Sunday nights to play and he usually does pretty well, I guess!

Work has been keeping me busy as well.  This is an especially busy time of year for me (January through late-May or June).  I’m looking forward to summertime and hopefully getting to use some of the comp-time I’ve racked to do some traveling.  I’m hoping maybe we can make it out to Gatlinburg this year.  I think Nick would enjoy it and I haven’t been out there since I was a kid.

We also recently managed to get tickets to go see Eddie Izzard here in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium on June 20th.  We’re both ridiculously excited.  If you haven’t seen him before, go rent a copy of “Dressed to Kill” which was an HBO stand-up special he did a few years ago.  He is hilarious.  We have all his DVDs that have been released in the US and have watched them over and over, so I can’t believe we’re actually going to get the opportunity to see him live!

Anyway, I guess that’s all the news (see, I told ya there’s not much going on - haha).

After an extremely rainy start to April, we had a beautiful sunshine-filled day yesterday, and today is looking to be the same.

Our trip home for Easter was lovely.  As always, it felt like it went by too fast and I didn’t get to see all the people that I wanted to visit with.  (That’s always the way when we make these quick weekend-trips to Erie.)

I spent a lot of time with my parents and grandparents.  I dyed Easter eggs, which is something I haven’t done in years.  Grandma Rita taught me how to crochet her “famous” dish scrubbers (which you can download the pattern for here if you like).  Sunday night we had a girls’ night — my mom, Erica, Melanie, Chrissy, and I hung out and had lots of laughs.  It was a heck of a good time.
